SEN Teacher - Empower Young Learners in Harrogate


Location: Harrogate and surrounding areas (case dependent)

Working Days: Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)

Hours: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm (flexible working available)

Pay Rate: £30-£35 per hour (PAYE - case dependent)

Focus: One-to-One Teaching for students with SEN, SEMH, SEMD, and medical needs

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Creating Safe, Supportive Spaces: Build trust and consistency to help students feel secure and ready to learn.
  2. Delivering Bespoke Education: Plan and implement individualised learning strategies that reflect each student's strengths and challenges.
  3. Collaborating with Families: Work closely with parents and carers to ensure continuity of support beyond the classroom.
  4. Fostering Growth and Confidence: Use creative, empathetic teaching to build resilience, self-esteem, and academic success.
  5. Leading by Example: Promote positive behaviours and values that encourage lifelong learning and personal development.
What You'll Bring
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE)
  2. At least two years of teaching experience
  3. Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, and Science (UK curriculum)
  4. Experience across Key Stages 1 to 4
  5. Excellent English skills and a background in SEN education
  6. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  7. Legal right to work in the UK
  8. A thorough understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
