Alternative Provision Teacher
We are recruiting for a secondary pupil referral unit in Birmingham seeking a qualified teacher to join their team.
The school values energetic, determined teachers with excellent behaviour management skills.
We are looking for a class teacher for a small class of 7-10 students, always supported by a Teaching Assistant (TA).
Compared to mainstream schools, there is less marking and planning involved. Building trusting and positive relationships with students is essential.
Each class benefits from significant TA support, and the senior management team is understanding and supportive.
As a qualified teacher, you will ensure pupils make progress at or beyond expected levels. You will participate in parents' evenings, meetings, and reviews, and will genuinely care about making a difference to each child.
One of our ECTs at this school shared, "No two days are the same here. I enjoy coming to work and appreciate the ongoing CPD opportunities and training courses available."
Having worked with this centre for many years, I highly recommend it. I believe any teacher given the opportunity to work here would thrive in this environment.
