A career in our Financial Services Tax practice within Corporate Tax services offers an opportunity to assist clients in meeting their tax obligations while managing the impact of tax on their business. You will advise on local and international tax matters, act as a strategic consultant on business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing, and help organizations understand pricing and tax implications of deals between related parties.

Our team supports Financial Services clients in navigating complex national and international tax environments, addressing capital requirements, operational tax risks, and investing implications across jurisdictions. You will assist with tax structuring and adapting to the evolving global tax landscape.

About the role:

We seek a Senior Associate to join our Alternative Investment Funds team in London. This team, part of the wider Financial Services Tax group, assists fund managers with services related to their funds, management, investors, and investments.

As a Senior Associate, you will work with a team to deliver high-quality advisory and compliance services to a diverse client portfolio, including UK and multinational clients. You will develop client relationships, technical expertise, and management skills.

What your days will look like:

• The work is technically demanding and creative, involving major transactions, international structuring, compliance, and ad hoc tax matters.
• You will collaborate with experienced colleagues across FS and AIF tax teams, gaining practical experience in a stimulating environment.
• You will build relationships with clients, work as part of a team, and deliver tax services effectively.

This role is for you if:

• You possess a CTA or ACA qualification (or international equivalent) or relevant work experience.
• You have a solid grounding in UK Corporate Tax.
• You have experience with Corporation tax.
• Fund experience is desirable.
• Previous practical experience in a corporate, business, or OMB tax team is beneficial, though relevant experience elsewhere is also valued.
