Job summary

UNIQLO store in London is seeking an alterations assistant with sewing experience to deliver high-quality alterations and repairs, including trouser and sleeve alterations, plus upcycling within a friendly retail team.

You will work a 37.5-hour week with flexibility for mornings and weekends, delivering excellent service and helping customers achieve a perfect fit, while upholding store standards and sustainability values.

Qualifications

• Have 1+ year experience in sewing and finishing.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and processes quickly.
• Personable and service-focused with a positive attitude.
• Keen to build a career in retail and brand values.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a friendly smile and provide exceptional service.
• Advise customers across product categories and alterations.
• Perform high-quality alterations of trousers, skirts and sleeves; fix/replace zippers.
• Upcycling and repair initiatives such as Sashiko as part of alterations.
• Understand and confirm alteration or repair requirements with customers.
• Keep back-of-house areas organised and support team to maintain store standards.
