Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional learning needs.
  • A calm, caring, and flexible approach is necessary.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for us to process one).
  • Right to work in the UK and currently based here.

Overview

Equal Education Partners is looking for committed and compassionate ALN (Additional Learning Needs) Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of primary and secondary schools in South West Wales. If you're patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs (ALN), including learning difficulties, ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support, tailored to individual needs
  • Assisting the classroom teacher in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and progress in every learner
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, ALNCOs, and external professionals
  • Upholding the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional learning needs
  • A calm, caring and flexible approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
