Job summary

Supply Hive Wales is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils and teachers within a primary school in Newport. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities, provide one-to-one and small group support, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children's development and helping them reach their full potential while preparing classroom resources and monitoring pupil

Qualifications

• Experience assisting pupils in primary settings.
• Ability to work with pupils with a range of needs.
• Strong communication with teachers and parents where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
• Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

• Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Supervise pupils during break times, school activities, and educational visits where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil participation in learning.
