Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Allocator to join our team at our Milton Keynes site, where you will be responsible for monitoring all stock movements within the warehouse.

As an Allocator, you will also set up and run orders in line with the shift plan to meet scheduled dispatch times. You should work closely with the warehouse First Line Managers to effectively manage resources and ensure that the flow of work is continuous to maximise efficiency.

Salary: £24,744 per annum.

Working hours: Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6am.

Responsibilities of an Allocator include:

  • Controlling equipment allocation within specified areas.
  • Pre-allocating loads and ensuring advanced pick position is maintained in line with shift plan.
  • Monitoring and updating shift plans to deliver regular progress updates.
  • Managing staff movement across work areas to maintain correct flow of activities.
  • Running orders in line with instructions and scheduled dispatch times.
  • Selecting appropriate loading and unloading bays based on current operational requirements.
  • Updating electronic schedule and auto-store systems to accurately represent site activities.
  • Carrying out stock shortage investigations on picks and monitoring replenishments.
  • Compiling and sending reports as required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced warehouse/3PL environment.
  • Strong communication skills for effective internal and external communication.
  • IT literacy with knowledge of MS Office and various WMS databases.
  • Effective organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
