Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Allied Health Professional (AHP) to join our healthcare team in Manchester. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals across various settings, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes. As an AHP, you will deliver specialized interventions, assessments, and rehabilitation services to patients with a range of health conditions, ensuring they receive comprehensive and effective care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert assessments, diagnoses, and interventions for patients across clinical areas such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, dietetics, or podiatry.
  2. Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with patients and their families to optimize health, functionality, and independence.
  3. Deliver clinical interventions through sessions, group therapy, or patient education to support recovery, rehabilitation, and health maintenance.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
  5. Advise and educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle changes.
  6. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
  7. Participate in case reviews, care meetings, and decision-making processes.
  8. Maintain accurate patient records, adhering to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  9. Promote patient safety, dignity, and respect in a supportive environment.
  10. Engage in ongoing professional development, staying updated with research, practices, and guidelines.
  11. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, audits, and research projects.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Allied Health or equivalent qualification in fields like Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics, or Podiatry.
  • Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., HCPC, RCSLT, BDA).
  • Proven clinical experience delivering high-quality care.
  • Strong clinical skills for assessment, diagnosis, and intervention.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and healthcare legislation.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Flexibility to work across various clinical environments.
  • V 28 days holiday per year (pro-rata).
