Job summary

Daish’s Holidays in Torquay is seeking friendly and motivated individuals to join our team as part-time restaurant waiting staff. You will help deliver a fantastic dining experience for guests, with evenings, weekends and bank holidays included in the schedule.

This role offers all-year-round employment, career progression across our hotels, a £100 refer-a-friend bonus, and a staff holiday discount. Prior waiting experience helps, but a positive attitude and great service are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or waiting experience is helpful but isn't essential.
• Friendly, approachable and confident when speaking with guests.
• Positive and upbeat, with a willingness to get involved.
• Reliable and committed to maintaining high standards.
• Able to follow dietary requirements carefully and communicate these accurately to the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Providing friendly, attentive and efficient service to guests.
• Welcoming guests into the dining room and ensuring they have everything they need throughout their meal.
• Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure meals are served efficiently and guest requirements are communicated clearly.
• Ensuring all dietary requirements are correctly identified and communicated to the chefs.
• Responding positively to guest requests and helping to resolve any issues.
• Working confidently both independently and as part of a team.
• Helping to maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming dining environment.
• Providing the excellent customer service that Daish’s is known for.
