A local government authority in the UK seeks a candidate for a role in Adults Social Care and All Age Commissioning. The successful individual will manage commissioning and contract management of transport services for residents. The successful candidate will assist in all aspects of commissioning, contract management, including brokering of individual all age transport provision, in order to maximise quality of service provision and value for money.
Working as part of a busy and responsive team, you will be responsible for the sourcing of all age transport services for our residents.
Transport Officers will be managed in small teams focusing on SEN, travel training, the fleet, mainstream settings and social care, children and adults.
There is an expectation that the post holder will be knowledgeable and flexible to work across both cohorts with appropriate support and training.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and people skills (friendly, considerate, patient, empathy etc).
They will have an excellent knowledge of IT systems including using Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and also experience of learning and developing new specialist software whilst ensuring high levels of customer service.
We\'re seeking someone who is an excellent communicator with the ability to work independently but also collaboratively within a wider team.
You\'ll enjoy building effective working relationships with other service areas and colleagues, understanding their needs but also being able to communicate difficult messages when needed.
