Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust seeks a dedicated Alcohol & Substances Specialist Nurse to lead expert care for patients with complex substance use issues in our acute hospital setting. Qualifications

Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (Adult General Level 1 or 2).
Degree/Diploma in Nursing studies or equivalent.
Evidence of CPD and training delivery experience.
Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Assess patients' care needs and develop tailored care programmes.
Implement and evaluate care plans for specific patient groups.
Support holistic care of all patients across the hospital.
Undertake assertive outreach to support patients into treatment.
Safeguard and advocate for vulnerable members of our community.
Promote evidence-based practice within the team.
Represent the team at partnership meetings.
Deliver clinical expertise in management of alcohol and substance-related needs.
