Alarms System Implementation Specialist
Location: Porton Down, Salisbury - Full Time On-Site
Contract Length: 24 Months
IR35 Status: In Scope
Security Clearance: SC Cleared + Sole UK National



Overview

We are seeking an experienced Alarms System Implementation Specialist to support a critical safety and compliance initiative within a high-security laboratory environment. This role is essential to improving alarm management systems and ensuring alignment with safety regulations and best practices.



Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with operational subject matter experts to refine and implement alarm policies and procedures in line with Relevant Good Practice (RGP).
  • Guide the development of alarm systems that support fault identification and appropriate response mechanisms.
  • Analyse and assess the technical design and performance of alarm systems.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and courses to upskill internal teams on alarm system management.
  • Support trainee safety and engineering specialists.
  • Contribute to the development of alarm-related policy, procedures, and guidance for long-term adoption.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with alarm systems such as Trend, Vista, Schneider (EcoStruxure), and Sauter.
  • Proven track record of implementing and operating alarm systems in large-scale organisations.
  • Ability to collaborate with on-site engineering teams to align protocols and practices.


Desirable

  • Background in programme management.
  • Electrical engineering experience.
