Job summary

Swissport is seeking a Ramp Agent at Manchester airport to help ensure safe and efficient handling of aircraft, passengers, and cargo. The role is a fixed term contract through 31 March 2027, working 30 hours per week in shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Valid full UK manual driving licence and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft.
• Marshal aircraft to and from gates with safe positioning.
• Operate ground service equipment such as tugs, belt loaders and baggage carts.
• Perform aircraft servicing tasks including cabin cleaning and water replenishment.
• Follow safety procedures and guidance on marshalling signals and hazardous materials.
• Provide exceptional customer service to passengers and airline partners.
