Airside Paper Waste Collector Driver - Days Shifts - Gatwick Airport

Aviation Recruitment experts Optime Group are looking for 3.5T Drivers to join one of our prestigious clients based in the Gatwick area. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to build a career within a leading logistics business at the airport.

What's on Offer:

• Rate of Pay: £12.89 per hour
• Shift pattern: 4-on / 4-off (This could be subject to change)
• Shifts: 06:00am to 18:00pm
• Staff parking
• Weekly pay (Every Friday)
• Temp to Perm (performance-based)

Start date :

• ASAP

Key Duties:

• Drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle to various designated locations around the airport and external offices.
• Collect general office paper waste and replace bin liners.
• Collect confidential waste bins from office areas, ensuring secure handling at all times.
• Transport collected waste back to the yard for recycling and secure disposal.
• Maintain accurate records of collections and drop-offs as required.
• Ensure vehicle checks are completed daily and report any maintenance issues.
• Adhere to all site, road, and airport security regulations, especially in airside areas.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service when interacting with office staff.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Shifts:

The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 4 on 4 off rolling rota. This could be subject to change!

An example of the shift hours:

• Day 1: 06:00am to 18:00pm
• Day 2: 06:00am to 18:00pm
• Day 3: 06:00am to 18:00pm
• Day 4: 06:00am to 18:00pm

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence (category B – up to 3.5 tonnes).
• Previous experience in a driving or waste collection role preferred.
• Good knowledge of health & safety and manual handling practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Must be able to provide 5-year checkable history, in order for us to obtain your blue airside pass.
• Drug and alcohol testing will be required prior to employment.
