Job summary

Swissport Southampton Airport seeks a Station Manager to lead day-to-day operations with P&L responsibility, ensuring safe, profitable and high-quality performance aligned with customer expectations.

You will provide leadership to staff, manage relationships with airlines, airport authorities and regulators, and drive continuous improvement across safety, service delivery and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent; advanced degrees advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of business management principles and profitability drivers.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience leading large teams with P&L accountability.
• Clear communication and relationship-building across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Fluent English; ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety, security and operational KPIs across the station, driving a positive safety culture.
• Own P&L targets with full financial responsibility for the station and budgets.
• Develop and manage relationships with customer airlines, airport authorities and regulators.
• Drive quality and efficiency in ground handling, ensuring compliant service delivery.
• Identify growth opportunities and partnerships to secure and renew business.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to define strategic objectives for the station.
• Build and coach a high-performing team across multi-site responsibilities.
