Job summary

Warehousingsolutions is seeking a SECURITY OFFICER to start next week in Birmingham. Permanent role with day, night and weekend shifts. A £3000 joining bonus is paid in September. You may choose day shifts or nights plus weekends. Day shifts: 8 am–6 pm or 8 am–8 pm (£19.50/hr). Night shifts: 8 pm–8 am (£22.50/hr). Weekends/overtime: £25.50/hr. 45–60 hours weekly guaranteed. Weekly pay.

Part-time option available at 20 hours per week (2 shifts × 10 hours).

Qualifications

• Observational skills to spot potential threats.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication.
• Strong problem-solving and quick decision-making.
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts and resolve incidents.
• Familiarity with security equipment and CCTV systems.
• Physically fit to patrol and stand for long periods.
• Professional, calm, courteous demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling and securing buildings, perimeters, and access points.
• Monitor CCTV and security systems to detect threats.
• Control access by logging entries/exits and ID checks.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies and incidents.
• Enforce security policies and resolve disturbances.
• Maintain logs and incident reports; communicate irregularities.
