Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support commercial and contractual aspects of airport projects. Responsibilities include managing NEC4 contracts, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring project financials meet targets. Qualifications

  • Ideally 3 years post-graduate Quantity Surveying experience, airport baggage experience preferred.
  • Experience in building complex costing spreadsheets.
  • Understanding of NEC contract suite and contract mechanism.
  • Dealing with sub-contractors and the management of their contracts.
  • High level of commercial awareness.
  • Baggage handling projects awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Commercial Manager on all commercial aspects of airport projects.
  • Managing the NEC4 contract to ensure cost reimbursement.
  • Supporting the application for payments to the client and subcontractors.
  • Liaising effectively with counterparts on the client's side.
  • Managing subcontractors and their contract terms.
