Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Kitchen Porter for London Stansted Airport's Emirates Lounge. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety throughout service, with a structured 4 on 2 off rota.

The successful candidate will have kitchen experience, be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Shift patterns include mornings and afternoons, with a fixed hourly rate of £13.90 and duties aligned to COSHH and EHO standards.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience essential.

• Meticulous attention to detail is required.
• Able to take initiative while working in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Perform visual hazard checks in the kitchen.
• Clean equipment, utensils, crockery, and glassware during and after service.
• Dispose of rubbish correctly.
• Clean and tidy the kitchen during and after service.
• Use cleaning products safely following COSHH guidelines.
• Wear correct PPE; maintain full uniform and safety shoes.
• Keep the kitchen cleansed to EHO standards.
• Report broken or malfunctioning equipment to the Supervisor immediately.

What you’ll do

• To ensure the cleanliness of the Kitchen
• Visual hazard check of kitchen
• To clean equipment, utensils, crockery, and glass throughout and after service
• Correct disposal of rubbish
• Cleaning / tidying of kitchen throughout and after service
• Correct chemicals are used for cleaning purposes following COSHH guidelines
• Correct PPE is worn throughout shift, full uniform blue trousers & Tops, safety shoes must be worn at all times
• Kitchen cleanse is to the standard of EHO requirements
• Broken / malfunction equipment to be reported to the Supervisor immediately
