Job summary

ABM at London Gatwick Airport is seeking a full-time vehicle technician to perform routine safety inspections, MOT preparations and service work to meet high standards. The role involves addressing driver defects, attending breakdowns and ensuring documentation is complete with a clean, safe workshop environment.

You will typically work a 42-hour week on a permanent contract, with NVQ 2 in mechanical commercial vehicles preferred and DVSA standards knowledge highly regarded.

Qualifications

• PCV/HGV licence desirable.
• Previous experience in vehicle maintenance.
• NVQ 2 in mechanical commercial vehicles and familiarity with DVSA standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine safety inspections, MOT preparations and services.
• Rectify drivers' defects on request and attend vehicle breakdowns as needed.
• Complete job cards and safety inspection sheets accurately before moving to next job.
• Keep workshop clean and comply with health and safety policies.
