Job summary

Blue Arrow HS is recruiting a skilled vehicle maintenance technician to inspect and service fleets across our operation in the UK. You will perform Preventative Maintenance Inspections on trucks and trailers, and diagnose faults using specialist equipment.

The role requires hands-on repairs of engines, gearboxes, braking systems, steering and suspension, plus preparation of vehicles for annual MOT tests and meticulous record keeping for logs and safety paperwork.

Qualifications

• Relevant level in heavy or light vehicle maintenance (City & Guilds or NVQ) or proven time-served experience.
• Valid UK driving licence (HGV Class C or C+E preferred)
• Strong fault-finding and workshop safety knowledge

Responsibilities

• Carry out Preventative Maintenance Inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and fix faults.
• Replace or repair engines, gearboxes, brakes, steering and suspension components.
• Prepare commercial vehicles for annual MOT tests.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and safety documentation.
