Job description

This role will give you the chance to play a key role on ground-breaking and high-profile defence projects with values in the hundreds of millions. You'll be part of an industry-leading team, working with Marshall and other major defence stakeholders and Primes.

Purpose of the position

To carry out maintenance, modifications and repairs to aircraft structure & mechanical systems in accordance with work card instructions and relevant controlled technical documentation.
Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and activity to ensure that progressive gains in efficiency are maintained.

Qualifications

  1. Completion of a recognised Engineering apprenticeship or a relevant higher education qualification
  2. Experience of Engineering within a maintenance environment
  3. The ability to work individually as well as within a team across all functions on site, demonstrating a pro-active and flexible attitude and supporting business targets and Company goals
  4. You must have an eye for 'Continuous Improvement'
  5. Attention to detail and be self-motivated
  6. Enthusiastic attitude, coupled with good teamwork & communication skills
  7. GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English
  8. Good knowledge of H & S Legislation and some knowledge of COSHH
  9. Structural repairs experience preferable
  10. Electrical Qualification advantageous but not essential.
