Aircraft Structural Technician- F-18 Flight Controls

Jacksonville, FL

Contract Position

$29.87-$35.22/Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Perform assembly, disassembly, modification, and repair of aerospace vehicle components with a focus on F-18 flight control structures.

  • Apply structural repair principles including fatigue and corrosion management, stress analysis, material strength, and composite repair.

  • Conduct nondestructive inspections and corrosion control processes.

  • Document repair procedures, modifications, and test results to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.

  • Inspect components and verify airworthiness post-repair.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficiency in close tolerance hole drilling, part location, fabrication, and detail match drilling.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
