Qualifications

• At least 2 years of live aircraft sheet metal/structural experience.
• Previous aircraft production and modification experience is advantageous.
• Eligible to work and reside in the UK, subject to UK security Vetting.

Job Opportunity: Aircraft Structures Technician / Sheet Metal Worker

This role is crucial within the engineering team, focusing on the structural maintenance and modification of aircraft.

Location: Birmingham
Shift pattern: Monday - Thursday (days), 10-hour shifts

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out modifications and maintenance according to approved drawings and maintenance data, ensuring technical integrity.
• Work under supervision of Lead Technician or B1 Engineer, providing updates and reporting issues promptly.
• Complete strip/removal of major structural aircraft equipment.
• Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and regulatory requirements.
• Install complex structural assemblies.
• Work to fine tolerances and high standards.
• Use sealants, fasteners, bonding techniques as per standards.
• Maintain tool control and a safe, clean work environment.
