Job summary

Outsource UK based at Edinburgh Airport is seeking an Aircraft Refueller to join a busy operation and help ensure aircraft are refuelled safely, efficiently and on schedule.

In this role you will perform fuel handling, quality checks, and reporting while maintaining safety standards in a 24-hour environment. ADR certification is desirable; aviation experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• ADR certification is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in aviation, fuel, logistics or similar operational environments advantageous.
• Must have strong driving and safety awareness.
• Must possess problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Good communication, organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently refuel a range of aircraft types in line with company procedures and industry guidelines.
• Carry out quality control checks and inspections relating to aviation fuel handling.
• Operate aircraft tank fuel gauges and manage fuel load distribution.
• Complete all required customer and company documentation accurately.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, sampling and routine checks.
• Perform quality control checks on hydrant systems and associated equipment.
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses, equipment faults and operational delays.
• Deliver excellent customer service when responding to customer queries.
• Support audits and inspections when required.
• Work closely with maintenance teams and operational colleagues.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained, cleaned and fuelled when necessary.
• Adhere to all health, safety, security and environmental procedures.

Salary: £42,598 + Shift Allowance of £5,382.96

Outsource UK are recruiting for an Aircraft Refueller to join a busy operation based at Edinburgh Airport. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in supporting airport operations by ensuring aircraft are refuelled safely, efficiently and on schedule. Working within a 24-hour operational environment, you'll be part of a team responsible for delivering aviation fuel to a variety of aircraft while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and customer service.

The Role

As an Aircraft Refueller, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient refuelling of aircraft, ensuring all activities are completed in line with industry regulations, operational procedures and safety requirements. You will also support quality control activities, equipment inspections and operational reporting.

What We're Looking For

• ADR certification is desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience within aviation, fuel, logistics, transport or a similar operational environment would be advantageous.
• Strong driving skills and excellent safety awareness.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours

This role supports a 24-hour operation, so applicants must be flexible and willing to work a rotating shift pattern, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
