Job summary

Bombardier’s London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is seeking an Aircraft Painter to perform painting, masking, and finishing tasks on aircraft surfaces. You will read drawings for prep, apply primers and base coats, decals, and vinyl appliqués, and ensure finishes meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include documentation per IPM and supporting production and testing activities on site. The role requires experience with different paint systems, ability to train junior staff, and readiness to

Qualifications

• Experience in aircraft painting and finishing processes.
• Knowledge of paint systems and surface prep.
• Ability to train lower-level staff.
• Ability to obtain tug operator’s license.
• Ability to apply decals and vinyl appliqués.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings to identify tasks for paint prep.
• Apply safety absorbent and strip paint from aircraft surfaces.
• Mask, unmask and re-mask aircraft areas to protect windows and surfaces.
• Apply primer/paint including base coat, stripes, decals and vinyl appliqués.
• Document work performed per Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM).
• Assist production, flight tests and other areas as required.
• Perform touch-up work and correct imperfections.
• Move aircraft to appropriate bays and support other team members as needed.
