Job description

MPI has a requirement for Aircraft Engineering Mechanical Supervisors with Merlin experience.

The roles will be based at RNAS Culdrose, Helston TR12 7RH.

Competitive salary to be discussed on application.

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, day shifts.

Our client is proud to support the IMOS (Integrated Merlin Operational Support) and the AESAS (Aircraft Engineering Support and Aviation Support) at RNAS Culdrose, delivering activities ranging from the repair and maintenance of military aircraft to off-aircraft support services. Culdrose is one of the Navy's two principal air bases and one of the busiest military airfields in the UK.

Our Aircraft Engineers will support Aircraft Engineering services at RNAS Culdrose across both AESAS and IMOS Contracts, supporting operational deliverables and interfaces in a highly regulated environment.

What you'll need:
  1. Minimum of approximately 3 years working in an airworthiness environment, with relevant experience for the Merlin aircraft.
  2. Hold or have the ability to obtain a Certificate of Competency for Supervisory level.
  3. Previous experience and good working knowledge of Merlin Aircraft Engineering and Aircraft Systems, Merlin Aircraft Servicing and Support Equipment, Lean Operating Procedures, Naval Air Publications, Compound Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (CIETP), Health and Safety, the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations, and Tool Control and Quality Practices.
  4. An understanding of Engineering and Asset Management Systems.
  5. Completed or ability to complete a Maintenance Human Factors Course.
