Job description

STS Aviation Services is seeking to recruit a B1 Mechanic on a contract basis until the end of November, based at our East Midlands Line station.

This is an exciting opportunity to join STS Aviation Services and be part of our expanding line station operations. The successful candidate will perform Line Maintenance activities at the station, ensuring all Part 145 maintenance requirements are met in accordance with established processes and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Carry out and certify aircraft maintenance within the limitations of company approvals.
  2. Ensure all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements are completed.
  3. Order spares as needed, complete paperwork for unserviceable components, and record all maintenance activities accurately.
  4. Support ad hoc AOG requirements.
  5. Perform aircraft maintenance in a timely and efficient manner.
  6. Rectify defects on inbound aircraft.
  7. Meet and greet inbound aircraft and debrief the crew.
  8. Dispatch aircraft as required.
  9. Carry out maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
  10. Maintain high standards of work quality.
  11. Complete all required documentation.
  12. Comply with company procedures, policies, regulations, and MOE.
  13. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  14. Adhere to Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
Skills and Experience
  1. Preferred previous Line Maintenance experience.
  2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an aircraft mechanic.
  3. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing requirements.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  5. Strong organizational skills.
  6. Full UK Driving license (essential).
  7. Knowledge of MS Office applications.
