Job summary

PBES is recruiting an Aircraft Mechanic to join our Engineering team supporting our Farnborough and Luton operations. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining customer aircraft in a fast-paced business aviation environment.

The successful applicant will have six months of relevant aircraft maintenance experience within a consecutive two-year period, knowledge of Part M/Part 145, and hands-on work on Bombardier CL350/CL604/BD700 aircraft.

Qualifications

• Six months of relevant aircraft maintenance experience within a consecutive two-year period.
• Basic knowledge of Part M, Part 145 and other relevant regulations.
• Experience on Bombardier CL350/CL604/BD700 aircraft; other business aircraft considered.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and maintain customer aircraft.
• Work in accordance with manuals and regulations.
• Support aircraft arrivals and departures, including pre/post servicing.
• Complete tasks per Work Orders and assist with time/cost estimates.
• Attend PBES line stations and occasional international travel, as required.
• Respond to customer queries and support 24/7 response capability.

HOURS: Shift pattern

PBES is recruiting an Aircraft Mechanic to join our Engineering team supporting our Farnborough and Luton operations.

Specialising in Bombardier business aircraft, PBES provides aircraft maintenance, airworthiness and technical management support for business and charter aviation.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment, using initiative and working closely with licensed engineers and the wider PBES team.

• Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting and carrying out maintenance on customer aircraft
• Perform work in accordance with the appropriate manuals and applicable regulations
• Support aircraft arrivals and departures, including pre and post servicing
• Complete specific tasks in accordance with Work Orders
• Assist with time and cost estimates
• Use initiative to help resolve difficult situations
• Work as part of the shift team and support other team members
• Attend PBES line stations when required, with occasional international travel
• Respond to customer queries and requests and support PBES's 24/7 customer response capability

about you

The successful applicant will have relevant aircraft maintenance experience and the practical skills required to work safely and effectively within a business aviation maintenance environment.

ESSENTIAL

• At least six months of relevant aircraft maintenance experience within a consecutive two-year period
• Basic knowledge of Part M, Part 145 and other relevant regulations
• Experience working on Bombardier CL350, CL604 and BD700 aircraft; experience on other business aircraft makes will also be considered
• Knowledge and practical understanding of Human Factors, human performance and limitations
• Knowledge of EWIS and CDCCL where relevant
• Current recurrent and continuation training requirements
• Ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, regarding individual tasks and aircraft status
• Ability to use standard tools, special tools and ground support equipment
• Ability to work in accordance with maintenance data and report defects or errors requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards
• Full driving licence
• Flexibility to support the operational requirements of the business

DESIRABLE

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of CAMP aircraft maintenance management system
