Job summary

A leading Aviation Maintenance Repair Organisation is looking for skilled Aircraft Mechanics in England for a 6-month contract with likely extension. Responsibilities include conducting scheduled maintenance, rectifying defects, and working alongside a Licensed Aircraft Engineer. Ideal candidates will have completed an apprenticeship and possess experience in a Line or Base Maintenance environment.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed an apprenticeship or formal training in aircraft maintenance.
  • Eligible to hold a London Gatwick Airport airside pass.
  • Must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and defect rectification on airframe and engine systems.
  • Complete aircraft technical logbooks and maintenance documentation accurately.
  • Report technical issues to the Licensed Aircraft Engineer.

We are looking for two skilled Aircraft Mechanics to join a leading Aviation Maintenance Repair Organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for performing both Line and Base Maintenance services. Your duties will include conducting scheduled maintenance tasks, rectifying defects, implementing modifications, making repairs, and performing functional tests on airframe and engine systems, all under the supervision of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer.

Key Skills: Experience in a Line or Base Maintenance environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance, defect rectification, modifications, repairs, and functional tests on airframe and engine systems under the supervision of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
  • Complete all assigned tasks promptly to minimise aircraft downtime.
  • Accurately complete aircraft technical logbooks, maintenance documentation, work packages, and zonal handovers within prescribed timescales.
  • Report technical issues or discrepancies to the Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements, company processes, and procedures.
  • Report incidents in the Safety Management System.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Completed a recognized apprenticeship or formal training program or possess equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • Experience in a Line or Base Maintenance environment.
  • Team player who strives to exceed customer expectations.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn in-house systems.
  • Eligible to hold a London Gatwick Airport airside pass.
  • Must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
