Job summary

Babcock International is seeking a Visiting Aircraft Support Technician to support visiting aircraft at RAF Cranwell, near Sleaford, Lincolnshire. The role focuses on ground handling, engineering support, and ensuring safety and readiness within a busy operational environment.

You will work with military and civilian aviation stakeholders, performing hands-on tasks, inspections, and documentation to maintain high standards of service delivery and national security allied operations.

Qualifications

• Relevant aircraft engineering or aviation operational experience.
• Previous aircraft handling experience within a military or civilian aviation environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
• Ability to work safely and accurately in a regulated operational environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out aircraft ground handling activities, including aircraft marshalling, parking, towing and dispatch operations.
• Providing ground power, aircraft replenishment services, fuel and oil support as requested by aircrew.
• Conducting pre-use inspections and checks of Ground Support Equipment.
• Completing all operational and engineering documentation in line with legislative, regulatory and procedural requirements.
• Working closely with customers, stakeholders, RAF station operations and engineering teams to ensure safe and effective service delivery
