Job summary

Aircraft Fitter position based in Cambridge with Morson Edge. The role involves maintenance, modifications and repairs on large transport aircraft, including C-130 experience considered advantageous. Start ASAP on a contract initially until March 2027, with day shifts and overtime potential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working on large transport aircraft.
• Strong mechanical and/or structural aircraft fitting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft technical documentation, drawings and maintenance manuals.
• A&P qualification or military equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance and modification tasks on aircraft structures and systems.
• Removing and installing aircraft components, parts and panels.
• Working within fuel tanks and confined spaces where required.
• Carrying out structural repairs to aircraft, components and parts.
• Refitting and replacing defective components using hand and power tools.
• Assisting with aircraft movement, jacking and trestling.
• Supporting testing of aircraft parts using gauges and other equipment.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and maintenance manuals.
