Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, day shifts

About the role

Are you looking for your next step in aircraft engineering? Do you want to positively impact the safety of the UK? Serco has exciting opportunities for a Mechanical Supervisor (Merlin) at the Royal Navy Air Station (RNAS) Culdrose. We support the IMOS (Integrated Merlin Operational Support) and the AESAS (Aircraft Engineering Support and Aviation Support) contracts, providing repair and maintenance of military aircraft and off-aircraft support services. RNAS Culdrose is one of the Navy's principal air bases and among the busiest military airfields in the UK.

Responsibilities
  1. Support Aircraft Engineering services at RNAS Culdrose across AESAS and IMOS contracts.
  2. Ensure operational deliverables and interfaces are maintained in a highly regulated environment.
Requirements
  1. Minimum of 3 years experience in an airworthiness environment, specifically related to Merlin aircraft.
  2. Hold or be able to obtain a Certificate of Competency for Supervisory level.
  3. Experience and knowledge of Merlin Aircraft Engineering, Aircraft Systems, Servicing and Support Equipment, Lean Operating Procedures, Naval Air Publications, Electronic Technical Publications (CIETP), Health and Safety, COSHH Regulations, Tool Control, and Quality Practices.
  4. Understanding of Engineering and Asset Management Systems.
  5. Completion or ability to complete a Maintenance Human Factors Course.
