Overview

Join 2Excel as a Part Time Aircraft Engineer. Reporting to the Head of Maintenance. Location: Southend. Type: Part Time, ad-hoc with regular hours. Start Date: ASAP.

One of our important contracts is providing a Boeing 727 aircraft on standby to respond to oil spills anywhere in the world. The aircraft is hangered in Southend and is looked after by our Southend-based B1 Licensed Engineer, supported by colleagues across the organisation. We are hiring support more local to Southend to help keep the aircraft ready to fly. This may involve daily and weekly checks and other ad-hoc tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily and weekly checks and other ad-hoc tasks to keep the aircraft ready to fly.
• Work with the Southend team to support maintenance activities as needed.

What You Need

• You do not need to be type rated, but you must hold an A or B license and have experience of working with aircraft.
• Having a 727 type rating or experience, or previous work at ATC Lasham in Southend, is a big advantage.
• We will provide mandatory and familiarisation training before granting Company authorisation to support tasks.
