Job summary

MPI Limited in Gosport, Hampshire, is seeking Aircraft Structural Fitters (CAT A) to join the depth cell on site for a long-term contract. Applicants should have completed an Aircraft Apprenticeship and possess papers; helicopter structures experience is preferred but other structures experience will be considered.

Basic hours are 37 per week with 40–60 hours available including weekends. Pay rates are £36.63 per hour LTD or £27.95 per hour PAYE, with potential to progress to CAT B and higher

Qualifications

• Applicants must have completed an Aircraft Apprenticeship.
• Prefer helicopter structural experience, but other structural experience will be considered.
• Must be able to perform modification installations and rectification on structures, rivet/SMW work; rotary experience preferred.

Job description

MPI have a requirement for Aircraft Structural Fitters (CAT A) to work in the Depth cell on site in Gosport, Hampshire.

Proposed start dates (subject to clearance) Nov/Dec/Jan expected to run for at least 3 years,

Applicants must have served an Aircraft Apprenticeship and have copies of their papers.

Our Client is looking for applicants who preferably have structural helicopter experience however they will consider applicants who have recent structures experience but not worked on helicopters.

You must be able to carry out Modification installation Rectification on structure components Structures/ Rivet/SMW Ideally Rotary experience

The contract is ongoing as per customer requirements and is deemed out of scope of IR35.

Basic hours 37 per week. Our Client has advised that there is 40-60 hours (including weekends) available with overtime but not guaranteed. Currently averaging around 50hrs per week.

CAT A Rate of pay is £36.63 per hour LTD/£27.95 per hour PAYE There may be opportunities for you to gain your CAT B stamp, once achieved your hourly rate will increase to £38.72 Ltd or £29.56 paye

Applicants will require valid Human Factors/EWIS and Fuel Tank Safety certificates if selected for the role. Basic security clearance is also required for the role.
