An exciting opportunity has arisen for an APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) Engine Technician to join our Client's workshop team at our clients premises in Warwick, Warwickshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the workshop team at the start of their new venture supporting various worldwide airlines with their APU engine requirements.
With our Client in the UK as the Part 145 facility and our counterpart in the US as the type certificate holders for the ALF502 and LF507 turbines, they support the global fleet 24/7. In addition, they have test cell capability, which, coupled with their turbine knowledge, allows them to explore further off-wing turbine support for both OEMs and MROs across a range of products. They aim to roll out similar support to the APU market within the next 12 months at Part-145 level.
Mechanical based role repairing APU engines in a busy modern engine workshop. Tasks will include but not be limited to; engine strip, clean, component and engine level inspection, rebuild and test. Being a Part-145 facility, accuracy and compliance in updating both electronic and paper-based technical records is a must.
You will have completed an Engineering Apprenticeship to Level 3 standard or above or similar. Proven on the product training with written history may be considered in lieu of formal qualification.
