Job summary
IAG Mechanical is seeking an experienced plumbing and heating engineer with hands-on Air Source Heat Pump installation experience, based in Bradford. The role covers ASHP installations within occupied social-housing properties, emphasizing safety, workmanship and customer care.
Responsibilities include installing cylinders and radiators, modifying pipework, commissioning, and documenting processes for MCS/retrofit packs.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 Plumbing & Heating or recognised equivalent; Level 3 preferred.
- Recognised ASHP qualification (e.g., BPEC, City & Guilds, LCL, EAL)
- Water Regulations qualification
- G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification where cylinders are installed or altered
- Hands-on ASHP installations experience including cylinders, radiators, pipework, flushing, filling, controls and commissioning
- Manufacturer training for equipment installed or willingness to complete Daikin product training
- CSCS/SKILLcard or equivalent
- Ability to capture installation photos and evidence for MCS/retrofit documentation
- Good customer service and ability to work in occupied homes
Responsibilities
- Install and alter hot water cylinders
- Upgrade radiators
- Install and modify primary pipework
- Flush, fill and prepare heating systems
- Install and work with heating controls
- Commission systems and complete documentation
- Take installation photos and evidence for MCS/retrofit
- Work safely in occupied social-housing properties
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and customer care
