Salary: £25,000 – £32,000 DOE

Air/Sea Export Operator Overview

My client is an international freight forwarder trusted by organisations around the world. They offer premium air freight, sea freight, and road freight services and handle customs clearance for imports and exports at all international ports and airports. They are looking for an experienced and dedicated export operator with a primary focus on air freight, with some involvement in sea freight, and requires handling customs processes.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in managing exports in the pharmaceutical sector and must be proactive, hardworking, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment to help grow, develop, and join their brilliant team.

Air/Sea Export Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate Freight Shipments: Manage and oversee air and sea freight shipments, with a primary focus on air freight. Ensure timely and efficient delivery while managing costs.
  2. Customs Clearance: Handle all necessary customs documentation and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
  3. Pharmaceutical Shipments: Ensure the safe and compliant handling of pharmaceutical goods, adhering to all regulations and industry standards.
  4. Communication & Liaison: Act as a point of contact for clients, freight service providers, and customs authorities to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues.
  5. Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain all export-related documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping instructions.

Air/Sea Key Requirements:

  1. Proven experience working with air freight and sea freight, with a solid understanding of export operations.
  2. Strong knowledge of customs procedures, including documentation and clearance processes.
  3. A dedicated “grafter” who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure success.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of liaising with clients, authorities, and internal teams.
  5. Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
