About Our Environment, Resilience and Renewables Advisory Group

Our Environment, Resilience and Renewables Group has been providing environmental solutions for our clients for over 30 years in the UK. From infrastructure projects such as the Boston Energy Facility, the Woodsmith Crop Nutrients Mine, Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station and offshore wind developments, to carbon management, climate resilience, post-consent compliance, permitting and due diligence projects. We specialise in consenting, permitting and licensing support for complex infrastructure developments and operations, supporting clients in delivering sustainable projects in energy, industry and marine sectors in the UK and internationally. We are growing our team and are seeking a Senior Consultant to provide consultancy service resilience and a spread of specialist knowledge.

Job Role

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, optimistic, conscientious and talented person with excellent communication skills and technical ability in the field of air quality in relation to the consenting of infrastructure projects with a focus on the industry and energy sector. In this role, you will assist with the delivery of complex environmental assessment projects, working both independently and within multidisciplinary teams. You will work with internal project team members and external clients, problem-solve and deliver high-quality technical work, and represent the company in client offices, regulator and stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have one to two years’ experience with regards to one or more of the following areas/ disciplines, preferably in a consultancy role:

  • Demonstratable experience in the delivery of Air Quality Assessments required to help with planning applications and environmental permits
  • Experience in post-consent and compliance delivery
  • Experience working with a variety of regulators and other stakeholders
  • Robust project task management and financial time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical and time management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
