Air Import Coordinator

Location: Feltham, Greater London

Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE

A well-established and internationally recognised freight forwarder near Heathrow is seeking an experienced Air Import Coordinator to join their growing team. Role Overview:

• Oversee the full process of air import consignments from arrival to final delivery
• Prepare and process documentation for customs clearance, including AWBs and import entries
• Liaise with global agents, customs officials, airlines, and customers to ensure smooth handling of shipments
• Track freight movement, manage exceptions, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with UK customs regulations and internal company standards
• Work closely with internal departments including transport and warehousing to ensure timely deliveries

Candidate Profile:

• Demonstrable experience handling air import operations within a freight forwarding setting
• In-depth knowledge of UK import procedures, customs systems, and HMRC compliance
• Hands-on experience with industry platforms such as Cargowise, CNS, Destin8, or CDS
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
• Confident communicator with a proactive and solution-focused mindset
