Job Title: Case Maker / Packer
Location: Crawley (Gatwick)
Contract Type: Full-time Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm (40 hours)
About The Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Case Maker / Packer to join our logistics and warehouse operations team. This role is ideal for someone with at least two years of hands-on experience in packaging and logistics, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for packing goods in line with quality standards, ensuring accurate inventory management, and supporting overall warehouse operations. If you are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and passionate about operational excellence, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately package products according to standard operating procedures and customer specifications.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure all goods meet safety, quality, and compliance standards before shipping.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of packaged products, materials used, and inventory levels.
- Ensure containers are properly sealed, labelled, and documented in line with shipping and handling protocols.
- Efficiently load and unload goods, including heavy or fragile items, ensuring timely movement within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery (following training and certification) to transport materials both on- and off-site.
- Palletise products securely and in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness, organisation, and safety of the warehouse environment.
- Support inventory checks and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy and traceability.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and collaborate as part of a dynamic project team.
- Participate in occasional travel assignments as needed to support project delivery and site logistics.
Skills And Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a packaging or warehouse-based role, ideally in a logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience operating packing machinery and conducting quality checks.
- Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in warehouse settings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Basic computer literacy (e.g., for logging inventory data).
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential – training can be provided).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a team-oriented environment.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks.
- Flexible, positive attitude and open to learning new skills.
