Job description

Our Client is a leading global logistics provider, offering worldwide freight and logistics solutions. Due to increased demand, they are currently looking for an experienced Air Freight Operator to join their team in Dartford.

As an Air Freight Operator, you will become a key member of the operations team, actively involved in managing imports and exports from start to finish. Your responsibilities include arranging air freight shipments, overseeing every aspect of the forwarding process, ensuring high-quality customer service, and guaranteeing that goods are received safely and on time.

Air Freight Operator duties include:

1. Coordinating worldwide multimodal imports and exports with end-to-end responsibility, including collections, airline bookings, and liaising with overseas agents and customers until delivery.
2. Building strong customer relationships to understand requirements and deliver excellent service.
3. Booking airlines and processing relevant import/export documentation, including AWBs, CMRs, and BOLs.
4. Submitting import and export customs entries.
5. Liaising effectively with supply chain colleagues.
6. Providing quotations, pricing, and invoicing clients.

We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience in the freight forwarding industry. Good operational knowledge of import and export procedures is essential. Training in dangerous goods would be a distinct advantage.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

The successful Air Freight Operator will be offered a salary of up to £31,000, depending on skills and experience.
