A global freight forwarding company in Manchester is seeking an experienced Air Freight Export Clerk. You will handle all aspects of air freight exports, including documentation, liaising with customers, and ensuring excellent service. The ideal candidate has freight forwarding experience and strong communication skills. The position offers a salary between £29,000 to £33,000, full-time hours, and additional benefits including a bonus scheme, along with 25 days of holiday.
Our client, is a well established Global Freight Forwarder, they are now looking due to expansion for an AIR FREIGHT EXPORT CLERK to be based in their office in Trafford Park.
You will deal with all aspects of Air Freight Export and all air freight export documentation and administration as well as liasing with overseas Airlines and overseas offices. You will input data into IT systems, maintain systems and provide a high level of customer service.
Your role will involve liaising with air freight customers, taking bookings, arranging collections, giving quotations, completing all pre-bookings, dealing with overseas orders and general office administration.
You will have worked in an air freight role with a freight forwarder in a busy Exports Freight Forwarding department, with the level of experience required to hit the ground running, although ongoing training is provided.
You will also have excellent communication and customer skill with the ability to work under pressure and be flexible, Good PC skill and the attention to detail is paramount. Experience in Cargowise a bonus
