Job description

Finding the fastest and most cost-effective transport solutions whether that is by air, sea or road or contract logistics.

We are now recruiting for the Manchester office which is based in Altrincham for a Freight Forwarding Air Freight Exports Clerk

Key duties and responsibilities:

Air Freight Quotations.
Producing all documentation for air freight export shipments.
Completion of customs declarations.
Track shipments.
Follow up on Pre-Alerts / Post Flights
Authenticating supplier invoices.
Completing customer invoicing within revenue recognition policy.
Adding accurate costs to the system to ensure financial reports correct.
Recording correspondence in eDocs.
Dealing with queries, both shipment and invoice.
Promotion of additional services to clients.
Ensuring all internal SOP's are followed correctly.
Awareness of Deferment and Government Gateway accounting procedures.
Ensuring any tasks within Workflow are actioned quickly.

Person Specification:

Applying candidates will have recent relevant industry experience with previous involvement in Air Exports from quote to delivered.
Good communication skills
Good organisation skills and effective time management & working practices
Manage time effectively
Commercial awareness
Attention to detail
IT Literate in Microsoft Office
Cargowise experience an advantage but not essential as full training and support will be provided.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: 32,000- 38,000 Circa
Annual leave 25 days, Increases with length of service plus bank holidays
Volunteer Day: Additional 1 day per year paid to give back to the local community.
