Freightserve recruitment are looking to recruit an Airfreight Export and CrossTrade executive for a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Colnbrook, Berkshire area. This hands‑on role requires solid freight forwarding experience, especially in air exports and cross‑trade movements, and confidence dealing with customers, overseas agents, airlines and suppliers.

You will manage shipments from quotation through to final delivery, prepare AWBs and export documentation, coordinate bookings

• Previous freight forwarding experience is essential.
• Strong experience within air exports.
• Experience handling cross-trade shipments.
• Good working knowledge of international freight documentation and procedures.
• Commercial awareness when buying and selling freight services.
• Confident customer and supplier communication skills.
• Able to manage a busy workload independently.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A proactive, problem-solving approach.

Responsabilidades

• Managing air export shipments from start to finish.
• Handling international cross-trade shipments.
• Preparing quotations and negotiating rates with airlines, agents and suppliers.
• Making airline and agent bookings.
• Preparing and checking AWBs and export documentation.
• Liaising with customers, overseas agents, airlines and hauliers.
• Monitoring shipments and providing proactive updates.
• Coordinating collections, export clearance and final delivery.
• Resolving operational issues quickly and professionally.
• Maintaining accurate shipment and customer records.

This is a hands‑on role for someone with solid freight forwarding experience who is comfortable managing shipments from quotation and booking through to final deliveryThe successful candidate will have particular experience in airfreight exports and international cross‑trade movements and be confident dealing directly with customers, overseas agents, airlines and suppliers.
