Qualifications

  • Essential F-Gas (City & Guilds 2079) Level 2 qualification required.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in AC / refrigeration service and maintenance needed.
  • Competence in diagnosing and repairing AC systems without direct supervision.

  • Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance on AHUs and AC systems.
  • Diagnosing, repairing and servicing a variety of air conditioning systems.
  • Maintaining accurate service records using provided technology.

Overview

Location: Luton, Stevenage, Watford, St Albans, South Mims (95% of work based at Luton & Dunstable Hospital sites)

Salary: £45,000+ per annum (depending on experience)

Role

We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning & Ventilation Engineer to join our team on a ventilation contract, covering AHUs and AC systems. The role will primarily involve planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on a variety of air conditioning and air handling equipment. You will be expected to work independently, delivering high standards of service, repairs, and fault finding.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on AHUs and AC systems.
  • Diagnose, repair and service a wide range of air conditioning and ventilation systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate service records using company systems (tablet/mobile provided).
  • Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships on site.
  • Occasionally supervise or support other engineers as required.
Qualifications
  • F-Gas (City & Guilds 2079) Level 2 qualification - essential.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in AC / refrigeration service and maintenance.
  • Strong background in air handling equipment and DX systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Competent in service, repair and fault finding without direct supervision.
  • Basic IT skills for reporting and record-keeping.
  • Skill Card required (can be applied for upon joining).
  • Positive, professional attitude with strong communication skills.
