Job summary

Apleona UK is seeking an Air Conditioning Technician to perform maintenance visits across a variety of equipment in meeting rooms and offices. You will handle reactive repairs, obtain supplier costs, and assist with occasional installations, supported by the engineering team.

Excellent communication and health & safety focus are essential, along with a valid UK driving licence and basic IT skills. Weekend on-call work may be required at enhanced rates.

Qualifications

• Formal air conditioning and/or refrigeration qualifications and/or heat pump systems.
• Health and Safety knowledge related to AC repair and installations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic PC skills and able to use an iPad.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out AC maintenance inspection visits (e.g., changing filters, cleaning coils) in meeting rooms and offices.
• Handle reactive breakdowns and repairs, obtain costs from suppliers.
• Deal with ventilation systems including AHUs and heat recovery systems.
• Occasionally install small split AC systems with support from the engineering team.
• On-call work as per site rota with enhanced rate.

Job description

We are currently seeking an Air Conditioning Technician to carry out AC maintenance inspection visits such as changing filters and cleaning coils on a variety of equipment including Daikin, Mitsubishi and Airedale based within meeting rooms and open plan offices. You will be dealing with reactive breakdowns, repairs and obtaining costs from suppliers. You will also be dealing with ventilation systems including packed air handling units and heat recovery systems.

As the AC Technician, you may occasionally be required to install systems, supported by the engineering team so experience of small split AC system installation would be highly desirable.Occasional weekend working is required so flexibility is a must.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Formal Air Conditioning and/or refrigeration qualifications and/or heat pump systems
• Able to deal with change
• Health and Safety focussed with relevant knowledge relating to AC repair and installations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic PC skills and able to use and iPad
• Valid UK Driving Licence
