Air Conditioning Engineer
Location: East Midlands (covering sites across Nottingham, Leicester, Derby, and surrounding areas)
Salary: Up to 42,000 (Door-to-Door Pay)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Flexible Start/Finish Times)
Call-Out Rota: 1 in 4 (Overtime paid at 1.5x rate)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to support a long-standing key accounts contract in the East Midlands. This mobile role covers a portfolio of commercial sites for a major client, providing both planned and reactive maintenance of air conditioning and HVAC systems.
This is a stable, long-term opportunity offering door-to-door pay, a fully equipped van (with private use), and a pathway for technical development and progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a range of air conditioning and HVAC equipment
  • Diagnose and repair faults on systems including splits, multi-splits, VRVs/VRFs, and chillers
  • Support small works and minor installation projects as required
  • Ensure compliance with client-specific service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Deliver a professional, high-quality, client-facing service across multiple sites
  • Work safely and in accordance with all Health & Safety standards
  • Participate in a 1 in 4 call-out rota, providing swift response to urgent issues


Qualifications & Experience
Essential:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
  • F-Gas certification (Category 1)
  • Proven experience in commercial HVAC maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with leading HVAC brands and BMS-connected systems
  • Experience working on CO2 and hydrocarbon systems (training can be provided)
