Job description

Express Staffing is working on behalf of a well-established Air Conditioning company. They employ pipe fitters and service engineers. Pipework includes chilled water, steam, heating, and refrigerant.

Main works involve air conditioning, with ductwork, insulation, and electrical services carried out by subcontractors.

The company is looking for an Advanced Fitter/Working Supervisor with experience and qualifications in building services.

Experience and qualifications within the industry are essential, along with the ability to work unsupervised and to a high standard.

A driving licence and good communication skills are also essential.

Responsibilities include:

• Site-based work installing heating, chilled water, hot and cold water services, and above-ground drainage systems within new and refurbished commercial and industrial buildings.
• Initially working closely with a site supervisor, progressing to managing your own projects and being part of the site team performing specific tasks.

Requirements include:

• Current skill card including safety qualification
• Ability to work with copper pipework, soldering, and press fitting
• Use of threading machine for steel pipework
• Installing pipework according to drawings or supervisor instructions

The company provides a van, fuel card, uniform, and tools. Expenses such as congestion charge and parking are paid. Working hours are 08:00 to 16:30, with half an hour for lunch.
