Barnsley College is seeking three enthusiastic AI Upskilling Community & Digital Skills Trainers to deliver practical AI and digital skills to adults across Barnsley. You will run engaging sessions in community locations, workplaces, and a mobile training unit, helping learners understand AI tools like Copilot and how to use them responsibly.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent Level 2 qualifications.
• Relevant Level 3 or higher qualification in digital, computing, education, training or a related area, or equivalent occupational experience.
• Experience of delivering training, teaching, workshops, demonstrations or skills support to adults.
• Experience of supporting people with differing levels of digital confidence or skills.
• Practical experience of using generative AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot or comparable tools, for everyday or workplace tasks.
• Ability to explain digital and AI concepts in simple, accessible language and facilitate engaging practical learning.
• Good communication, organisation and record-keeping skills, with a flexible approach to working across different locations.
• Working knowledge of responsible AI use, including privacy, security, bias and verification of AI-generated outputs.

Responsabilités

• Deliver engaging taster sessions, demonstrations and short learning activities covering communication, summarisation, planning and administration.
• Adapt delivery for adults with different levels of digital confidence, provide supportive information and guidance.
• Complete enrolment and attendance records, gather evaluation evidence and learner feedback, develop accessible resources.
• Work closely with College colleagues, employers and community partners to ensure effective delivery across the borough.
