Job summary

Reed Talent Solutions for MaPS is seeking a strategic AI Lead to align AI strategy, investment and delivery priorities across technology, product, governance and business teams. You will enable adoption and ensure value realisation while overseeing the Lead Data Scientist on technical development.

The role drives organisational readiness and creates the conditions for AI work to be delivered effectively by specialist teams, reporting to the Head of Data and Analytics.

Qualifications

• Significant experience providing senior leadership for AI initiatives across an organisation.
• Strong understanding of AI, ML and responsible AI principles.
• Ability to translate strategy into delivery roadmaps and governance routes.
• Proven ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience partnering with product, technology and business functions.
• Experience setting value measures and tracking benefits of AI investments.
• Experience developing high-performing, collaborative teams.
• Excellent, accessible communication of complex AI concepts.
• Understanding of governance, risk and assurance for responsible AI adoption.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership for AI activity across MaPS, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and governance.
• Translate organisational AI priorities into an actionable AI roadmap.
• Lead adoption and embedding of AI with cross-functional teams and product managers.
• Partner with Technology, Change, Security, Design, Data and Analytics to enable AI-enabled processes.
• Oversee portfolio of AI initiatives, manage dependencies and issues.
• Define success metrics and monitor value from AI investments.
• Shape capability building and knowledge sharing for responsible AI.
• Lead governance and assurance arrangements for AI projects.
• Engage with external partners and horizon scan for opportunities relevant to MaPS.
